How do I get my entrants out of Instagram?
For most giveaways, by hand, and it is quicker than it sounds. Open the post, read down the comments, and paste the qualifying names into the wheel’s text view, one per line — a hundred entrants is a few minutes’ work, and duplicates fold into one segment with the count shown, so someone who commented five times is one entrant unless you decide otherwise.
Past a few hundred comments, use whatever export you already have — a comment-export tool’s spreadsheet pastes straight in, one name per line. What this wheel deliberately does not do is log in to Instagram and fetch the comments itself: you never hand your account to a picker here, and there is no follower count or paid tier deciding what you are allowed to draw.
How do bonus entries work without hiding the odds?
Give the entry a weight. Tagged three friends for three entries? A weight of three makes that segment exactly three times as wide, and the percentage beside the name is the real chance — this wheel opens with Maya on three entries and Priya on two so you can see what that looks like before your own list goes on.
This is the part worth showing rather than claiming. A caption that says “extra entries counted” is a promise; a wheel where the extra entries are visibly wider segments is a fact the audience measures with their own eyes. Screenshot the wheel before you spin and the odds are part of the announcement.
How do I prove the draw was fair?
Draw it where entrants can watch. Record the spin for a story or a reel — the result is drawn from your browser’s cryptographic random source before the animation starts, so the wheel cannot be steered by stopping the recording at the right moment. Every draw also gets a short id, written into a log on your device with the time, so “which spin won” has an answer that survives the comments section.
For the giveaways where trust is the whole point, run it as a live session: create the room, put the link in your story or bio, and everyone who opens it watches the same wheel land at the same moment — the draw happens on the server, not on whoever’s phone is quickest. Hosting a session needs a free account; watching and joining never does.
What else is this wheel good for?
It is the plain name wheel with your entrant list pasted in. Where a comment export has already numbered the entries, the number wheel draws the number and you scroll to that comment.
The same giveaway run on a page instead of a feed is the Facebook draw. The same draw for a room that scrolls past at double speed is the TikTok giveaway.
